This building is referred to as the "riding stables".    Remember back when we went past the Beaver Boat-tique and I mentioned that a land development company was on the island in the 1960's?  Well, this was where they had a, guess what?..... a riding stable!  As with names of many places on the island, the original name stuck.  It is now used as a camping area for the Port St. James subdivision and no, there are no horses here. Now you know...Port St. James has no port; it has a riding stable with no horses.   McCafferty's Unfinished Farms is the present location for those who wish to do any horseback riding.
