Not far from the Lake Genesereth boat landing, we find a small road leading off through the woods.   Here is where we can find a picnic area and walking trail to Lake Michigan.   The trail begins by crossing Cable's Creek.

This bridge spans the creek and then a trail leads off winding through the woods.   A beautiful hike on a nice day that ends at Cable's Bay.  In the spring this is another of the island creeks to be checked for the running of smelt and/or suckers.
